- Bill Belichick and Tom Brady's business partner and fitness guru Alex Guerrero reportedly have a brewing feud.
- Guerrero also works with Patriots players like Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman.
- Specifics of the feud are unknown but Guerrero is reportedly banned from the Patriots sidelines and facilities.
Though Alex Guerrero seems be getting more popular in the New England Patriots locker room because of his fitness and nutrition work with Tom Brady, Bill Belichick is reportedly not a fan.
ESPN's Adam Schefter told WEEI's "Kirk and Callahan" last week that there is a feud brewing between Belichick and Guerrero, though the specifics are unknown.
Guerrero is Brady's business partner and helps run the TB12 Sports Therapy Center. He helped Brady adopt the philosophy of pliability and stretching and helps oversee Brady's intense fitness and diet regimen. He also works with Patriots players like Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman.
"There's some sort of issue," Schefter told WEEI. "I truly do not know the extent of it. I don't know how long it has been brewing or the history of it. Clearly, there's something there, but I don't know what to make of it, to be honest with you."
"Kirk and Callahan" also mentioned that they had heard Guerrero was banned from the Patriots' sidelines and from being at the facilities. Earlier in the season, Guerrero was seen on the sidelines during games and had traveled with the team.
It's not the first time this has been mentioned. ESPN previously reported there was a "collision coming" between Guerrero and Belichick. When asked about Guerrero in the past, Belichick had always repeated that Guerrero was not on the Patriots staff, saying only that he worked with Brady.
Belichick also called the ESPN report - which said he eventually wanted to turn from Brady to Jimmy Garoppolo - "fake news" in November.
Asked about the relationship between Brady and Belichick, Schefter said he think it's a good relationship, but noted, like all relationships, that it can fluctuate based on dynamics like Garoppolo and Guerrero.
"I don't think that is an issue," Schefter said. "Listen, there have been some dynamics this year - the Alex Guerrero one, the Jimmy Garoppolo one. Every relationship goes through different phases, ons and offs and ups and downs. Honestly, I don't know where they are at today.
"I just know that the Guerrero thing has been an issue at some point this season. It has come up. It is not the first time it has been brought to my attention."
Belichick is known for keeping his team focused and the distractions limited. It's not much of a surprise that he may not enjoy Guerrero's presence on the team, but the extent of their feud is unknown, even by insiders.
