These are the 5 most frequently ticketed cars in America
It's sort of a chicken-or-the-egg issue: can a car really be a ticket magnet, or do certain cars just attract speedy drivers?
"It's the driver that gets tickets, not the car," Penny Gusner, consumer analyst for Insurance.com said.
"But it is interesting to see what vehicle makes and models attract drivers who are prone to traffic violations."
Either way, certain cars do get a disproportionate number of tickets.
Car insurance comparison site insurance.com interviewed 323,000 drivers of 331 different models and found that 33% of Lexus ES300 drivers reported receiving at least one ticket, making it the most frequently ticketed car of 2015.
It captured the title from the Subaru Impreza WRX, which moved to twelfth in the rankings this year.
