If you thought the new Rs 2,000 notes are indigenous and cannot be faked, these four men have proved you and the Indian government wrong. Four men from Bengaluru used a copier and some glitter to make fake Rs 2,000 rupee notes and even used them at several shops.
These men used the fake currencies across eight liquor shops within four days, but were arrested later.
"We have recovered eight notes. Investigations are on and we will probably recover all 25 notes," senior police officer MN Anuchet told NDTV.

Apart from these two, there were two other friends - Kiran Kumar and Nagaraj – who were also in on the plan. They were caught when a shop keeper suspected that the note he had been handed was fake.
