On Wednesday, President Donald Trump signed into law the "Right To Try" Act, legislation that will allow terminally ill patients to participate in experimental drug trials that have not been fully approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

Front and center at the signing of the bill was Jordan McLinn, a nine-year old boy from Indianapolis who suffers from a deadly form of muscular dystrophy.

He and his mother, Laura, have advocated for "right to try" bills in state legislatures all around the country. McLinn's name is in the full title of the bill along with three others.

The video of the ceremony shows McLinn attempting to grab Trump's attention to ask for a hug a few times before finally succeeding.

Finally, Trump noticed, and gave the grinning boy a big hug and a kiss on the forehead.
