Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 launch expected in India on January 19, here’s everything you should know about it

The much awaited Xiomi Redmi Note 4 is expected to be launched on January 19th in India. The Chinese smartphonemaker has already sent out invites for a launch event on January 19 in New Delhi.

The smartphone was launched in China in August last year in two variants.

One variant of the phone features 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM and is priced at CNY 899 which is Rs 9000 approximately. The other variant offers 3 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM and is priced at CNY 1199 which is Rs 12000 approximately.

The USP of the phone is that it features deca-core SoC and has a metal body. The smartphone comes in Gold, Grey, and Silver color variants.

The handset sports a fingerprint sensor in the rear panel, however the phone does not run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, rather it runs MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The dual-SIM phone features a 5.5 inch display and is powered by MediaTek Helio X20 with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.

When it comes to camera, the smartphone features a 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera with an 85-degree wide angle lens.

Additionally, the device sports an infrared sensor and is backed by a 4100 mAh battery.
