The van in the video appears similar to a vehicle that was photographed driving around San Francisco in February, which was traced back to Apple through the vehicle's registration. Some have argued that the cameras mounted atop the vehicle could be used for mapping to improve Apple's own Maps app, but The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple "is working on the design of a vehicle that resembles a minivan."
