REPORT: Apple Will Start Mass Producing Its Smartwatch In January
Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Quanta Computer will supposedly take on the task of producing the Apple Watch. Apple said at its recent press event that its smartwatch will launch in early 2015, but didn't specify beyond that.
The company is supposedly targeting a Valentine's Day launch for the Apple Watch, according to The Information and 9to5Mac, but it's unclear exactly when we'll see it hit store shelves.
Apple reportedly missed its original target for the 2014 holiday season, so it makes sense that they company would be aiming to release its upcoming major product in time for the next special occasion. If mass production starts in early January, Apple would have about a month to create enough units by mid-February.
