A fan made a bunch of brand new levels you can play in 'Super Mario 64'

You've collected all 120 stars in "Super Mario 64." You know every inch of Bob-omb Battlefield like it's the back of your hand. You can basically get all those red coins with your eyes closed and you're looking for a new challenge.

Thanks to a developer named Kaze Emanuar, there are now tons of crazy new "Super Mario 64" levels to explore. The fan game "SM64: Last Impact" is out for free, and it looks wild:

According to Kotaku, "SM64: Last Impact" one-ups the original game by including 130 all-new stars to collect throughout new levels with new enemies and bosses. It even incorporates powerups from more recent Mario games, such as the bee and cloud costumes from "Super Mario Galaxy 2." 

Emanuar's YouTube channel has boatloads of videos related to this new game, including a playlist of original music and a tutorial on how to download and play it. It looks like it's been in development for more than a year.

Rather than being an all new game, "SM64: Last Impact" is a ROM hack. In basic terms, that means Emanuar has built this game on top of the original "Super Mario 64" by significantly altering that game, rather than building it from scratch.

That means you need to play it on a Nintendo 64 emulator on a PC, which is probably why Emanuar felt the need to include a tutorial on how to actually play the game.
