Alienware has been working with Valve since more than a year to bring a game box that will take on the likes of new gaming consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox One. At CES 2014, Las Vegas, Alienware displayed the Steam box that will bring PC gaming to your living room. The company was not very specific on the box’s configuration but they seem confident it will be the best one out there.

Alienware has been known for their robust gaming laptops and desktops. A Steam driven gaming machine seemed like the next logical step for them to entice more gamers. With the introduction of Steam Box, Alienware would be able to grasp a share in the consoles market as well.

Valve has a strong user base with millions of PC gamers. Together the two can take PC gaming to the next level and on to a much larger screen.

The new gaming box looks pretty neat and is almost as big as a cable set top box. At the moment the Steam Machine is still in its sample stages, but the company is confident that the users will see the final version in late 2014.
