Amazon wants you to re-order products by pressing physical buttons that you can stick around your house.

Amazon Prime Members can order these so-called adhesive "Dash Buttons" for free, so that whenever they're running low on one of the 255 different products partnering with Amazon at launch, they can simply press the button to place a new order.

For example, you could keep a Tide button near your washing machine to tap every time you're running low on detergent.

After you press the button, Amazon sends an alert to your phone to either confirm or cancel the order (so parents don't have to worry about kids going press-happy). The goal is to save users trips to the grocery store, because they'll be ordering more everyday products on Amazon, instead.

Dash Button is a follow-up to Dash, a little gadget Amazon launched almost exactly a year ago that lets you scan bar codes or speak into its internal microphone to create a shopping list on-the-go.
