Apple once disguised the Apple Watch as a Samsung smartwatch to keep it a secret
Apple takes privacy seriously - in the past, it's used cases to disguise unreleased iPhones, and it sounds like the company is doing the same with its watch. Apple engineers testing the watch in public once used a fake case that made it look like a Samsung smartwatch, The New York Times' Brian X Chen reports.
Samsung's smartwatches look somewhat different than Apple's. The Korea-based company has already released several smartwatches, with the most recent being the Gear S, which features a curved screen.
For reference, here's a photo of the Gear S.
And here's the Samsung Gear Live, which runs on Android Wear.

This is what one model of the Apple Watch looks like. It has a square screen like Samsung's watch, but there's also a digital crown that juts out from the side and lets you navigate its interface.
