CBI conducts raids in Maharashtra and Odisha over Chit fund scam

The CBI today conducted searches at over 50 locations across Maharashtra and Odisha to crack down on chit fund fraud.The searches were done basis two cases registered against a Pune-based private group which allegedly collected money from people illegally. The searches were done at 58 locations including Pune, Nasik, Aurgangabad and Solapur.
The official and residential premises of the firm's promoters were also searched.
