Gear up for job interviews! Hiring is up by 8% after a 5-month slump

There is a good news for those who are looking for a job change as talent demand across all the sectors in India has increased by 8% in July 2015. After witnessing a continuous fall for five months, talent demand has jumped by a thumping 10-14% based on month-on-month analysis, with demand for media professional has risen by a whopping 17% in July.

Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) and manufacturing sectors have registered a substantial rise of 9%, retail and petrochemicals, oil & gas sectors have seen an increase of 7% rise, travel and hospitality saw a rise of 4% in talent demand, as per a report by RecruiteX.
“We have observed this seasonal trend in the job market ever since we launched the RecruiteX report in 2011. The pre-appraisal and appraisal periods are usually slow on hiring since companies take stock and consolidate resources and processes, now that this is over, it is time once again to look for fresh talent,” said TimesJobs COO

The report said demands for media sales & business development professionals have seen a rise of 10% with senior professionals, having more than 20 years of experience, witnessed the highest rise in demand of 13%.
Bangalore once again tops the hiring activity list of cities in the country with a massive 16% rise in talent demand across industries. Among top ten towns, Lucknow posted the highest rise in talent demand at a whopping 23%. Among the states, West Bengal topped with a reported 7% rise in hiring activity.
The year 2015 started off with an 11% rise in hiring activity in January. But talent demand saw a drop of nearly 4% between February and June period this year.
