There was a time when Sony and LG were growing at a fast pace in the Sony, from Japan, and LG, from Korea, are facing tough competition from Chinese and local vendors, and their market share in the smartphone category has plunged to record lows, with LG at 0.4% and Sony at 1.5%.
The leader of the market remains Samsung, with its tight grip in the category and a huge portfolio to offer.
