A group of teenagers turned into a mountain rescue team after seeing an 8-year-old skier dangling off the ski lift.
At Grouse Mountain in Vancouver, a group of boys ages 12-14 worked together to quickly create a makeshift safety net to cushion the young skier's fall.
14-year-old James MacDonald had the idea to use the orange netting used to indicate areas of the mountain that are off limits as a trampoline to catch the boy.
When MacDonald's friends - Josh Ravensbergen, Gabriel Neilson, Ethan Harvey - caught up with him under the lift, each had a role in the rescue mission. Ravensbergen helped to strip some padding off one of the nearby poles to create a softer landing area, Neilson was attempting to help keep the young boy calm.
With everything as set as it could be under the circumstances, they asked the boy to remove his skis and take the jump.
You can watch the whole thing play out below.
Julia Grant, a spokesperson for Grouse Mountain, said in a statement: "Safety is our top priority and we will be taking appropriate action based on the results of the investigation."
Following their heroic act, the president of Grouse Mountain Michael Cameron also met with the teenagers, thanking them for their effort and offering them complimentary season passes.
The kids are alright.
