Amitabh Bachchan’s voice might soon help you navigate directions on Google Maps

• According to media reports, Google Maps is in talks with Amitabh Bachchan to use his voice for the turn-by-turn navigation offered on the Google Maps app.
• Till now, Google Maps used to use the voice of Australia-born, New York-based entertainer Karen Jacobsen.
• If things fall in place, Bachchan is expected to record his voice remotely, from home.

If media reports are to be believed, Amitabh Bachchan might soon lend his voice for the turn-by-turn navigation offered on the Google Maps app. The veteran actor and superstar, along with his brilliant acting chops, is also known and loved for his deep baritone. His is perhaps one of the most easily recognized voices in the country.

Till now, Google Maps used to use the voice of Australia-born, New York-based entertainer Karen Jacobsen, however if things fall in place, we might soon have Bachchan helping us navigate directions on Google Maps.

Considering that we still have to maintain social distancing norms, a Mid-day report stated that the actor might record his voice remotely, from his home.

Bachchan is currently gearing up for the release of Gulabo Sitabo, which is being exclusively launched on Amazon Prime Video. The movie also stars Ayushmann Khurrana.
