Apple's iPhone 6S is coming on Sept. 9

Apple will likely hold a media event to unveil its next iPhone on September 9, according to BuzzFeed News.

Apple hasn't sent out invitations just yet, but people familiar with Apple's plans told BuzzFeed's John Paczkowski that it will happen during the week of Sept. 7. These sources reportedly said that Wedensday, Sept. 9 is the most likely date for the event.
