Mahindra recently showcased some of its upcoming cars at the Auto Expo 2020, including a concept car dubbed as Funster. The company focused on electric vehicles at the auto show, but this does not mean it is getting out of the petrol and diesel vehicle market anytime soon.

In fact, it is expected to launch six vehicles in the next 18 months, including the iconic Thar, Scorpio and more.

Mahindra eKUV100

Mahindra eKUV100

The Mahindra eKUV100 was announced by the company during the Auto Expo 2020. The company claimed that the eKUV100 will be the most affordable electric vehicle in India. It also looks like a twin of its petrol version.

The Mahindra eKUV100 is powered by a 40 kW electric belt that generates 53 bhp of power and 120 Nm of peak torque. Its 15.9 kWh lithium-ion battery has a range of 120 km on a single charge.

The Mahindra eKUV100 has been priced at ₹8.25 lakh and will soon be available in India.

Mahindra Thar

Mahindra is expected to announce the much-anticipated 2020 Thar in the coming months. The new Thar has been spotted several times, giving us an idea about what it will look like. At the Auto Expo 2020, the company showcased the new mStallion BS6-compliant turbo-petrol engines.

The 2020 Thar will be powered by a by a 2.0-litre TGDI turbo-petrol engine that can generate 190 PS of power and 380 Nm of peak torque.

The 2020 Thar is expected to be announced around April 2020.

Mahindra Atom

Mahindra also showcased the Atom, the company’s electric quadricycle at the Auto Expo 2020. The Atom is an affordable last-mile connectivity option. The company has not revealed the car’s range of pricing yet.

As per Indian regulations, the Atom can pack an output less than 15 kW and a top speed of 70 kmph. It has a seating capacity of 4, including the driver.

The Mahindra Atom is expected to be announced around August 2020.

Mahindra XUV500

The second-generation Mahindra XUV500, which has been codenamed W601. The company has not revealed much information about its upcoming SUV.

The XUV500 will be powered by the same 2.0-litre TGDI turbo-petrol engine that can generate 190 PS of power and 380 Nm of peak torque.

The XUV500 is expected to be announced late 2020 or early 2021.

Mahindra Scorpio

Mahindra Scorpio

Mahindra is all set to announce a revamped version of its popular SUV Scorpio. The car will feature an improved design and a BS6-compliant engine.

The Mahindra Scorpio is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that can develop 190 PS of power and 380 Nm of peak torque.

The new Scorpio is expected to be announced in April 2021.

Mahindra eXUV300

Mahindra eXUV300

Mahindra had showcased the eXUV300 at the Auto Expo 2020. The car will be built on the company’s existing XUV300 platform.

While the company did not reveal much about the eXUV300, it is expected to be available in two variants – standard and extended range. It will offer a range of up to 300 km on a single charge.

The eXUV300 is expected to be available in June 2021 with a price tag around ₹16 - 21 lakh.
