Vodafone Idea launches 50GB data plan – comparison with Jio and Airtel data add-on plans

In addition to offering unlimited plans, telcos are now offering high-speed data vouchers to customers. A day after Airtel announced its ₹251 data add-on pack, Vodafone Idea has introduced a similar add-on. Reliance Jio has been offering these vouchers for a while now.

The new ₹251 voucher from Vodafone Idea is currently available in limited circles and should be available across the country soon. It offers 50GB 2G/3G/4G data which is valid for 28 days.

Jio’s ₹251 data add-on offers 50GB of 4G data with 30 days validity. On the other hand, Airtel’s ₹251 add-on offers 50GB data and along the same validity as the user’s existing plan.

Data add-on plans from Reliance Jio


Jio has the widest range of add-on data plans with seven data add-on vouchers -- starting from ₹11 to ₹251. Four of the add-ons also offer off-net calls or ‘non-Jio’ minutes. These can be used on top of the company’s existing plans to get more data or make calls to non-Jio users.

Data add-on plans from Airtel


Airtel currently offers four data-on vouchers. Among them, the ₹401 plan from the company includes an annual subscription of Hotstar VIP worth ₹399 for free in addition to 3GB of data. It can be subscribed to only once per year.

Data add-on plans from Vodafone Idea


Vodafone Idea offers four data add-on packs, starting from ₹16 to ₹251. These plans do not offer any additional benefits.
