Odisha’s common PG entrance test CPET-2020 to commence from September 30

  • Students who wish to pursue higher education from a government institution can download the online common application form (CAF) available online at www.samsodisha.gov.in from August 12.
  • Even students who are waiting for their undergraduate results (yet to be announced) can appear for CPET-2020.
  • The first time that Odisha’s higher education department is conducting a single entrance examination for all government-run colleges.
The Department of Higher Education, Odisha, is going to hold the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET-2020) from September 30 for admission in different postgraduate courses.

Students who wish to pursue higher education from a government institution can download the online common application form (CAF) available online at www.samsodisha.gov.in from August 12, 2 pm onwards. The deadline to submit the forms is 11.45 pm, August 31, reported Times of India citing department sources.

Even those students who are waiting for their undergraduate results (yet to be announced) can appear for CPET-2020. However, they are required to submit their mark sheet online by 11.45 pm on October 10.

Students who fill the form will be able to download hall tickets from the same website from September 20.

The government will notify any change in deadline through newspapers and the website. According to the ToI media report, the entrance examination will last for eight days.

This is the first time that Odisha’s higher education department is conducting a single entrance examination for all government-run colleges. Until last year, the students used to submit the individual forms of all the universities they intend to attend.
