Here's how you can locate your polling booth to vote this election

If you have checked for your name in the electoral roll and found it, the next step is to know your polling booth. Here is how you can check your polling booth to vote for the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

The Election Commission has set up a large number of polling booths across the country. However, you can do the voting only in the polling booth allotted for you. The electoral roll containing your name will be maintained only in the polling booth allotted for you. Once you visit your polling booth, your details will be checked against your name and you will be allowed to cast your vote after your photo id is checked to ascertain it is only you who is voting in your name.

Steps to search your polling booth

Log on to the NSVP website (National Voters’ Services Portal). This site is run and managed by the Election Commission of India.

Under the Citizen Information on the right hand side, you will find a link ‘Know Your Booth, AC and PC’. Here AC refers to Assembly Constituency and PC refers to Parliamentary Constituency. Click on this link and you will land on a page that will ask you to input the following details.

Enter details like father’s name, age, district, state, assembly constituency and then click on the search icon.

Alternatively, you can also do the search by entering your Elector’s photo identity card (EPIC) number and choose your state to find your polling booth directly.
