  • Reposting an Instagram Story that you're tagged in is a feature that's built into the Instagram app, making it super quick and easy to do.
  • Despite this fact, however, it's always a good idea to get permission to repost from the original poster, since it's their intellectual property.
  • Reposting allows you to treat the original Instagram Story as if it were your own, and you can decide how to share it, and who sees it.
  • Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

When you're tagged in an Instagram story, you may want to share that story with your own followers, and Instagram allows you to do just that.

However, you may want to ask for permission from the original poster to repost it, as per Instagram's community guidelines. Although, it's worth noting that the original poster will get a notification when they tag you stating that you'll be able to repost it.
