Huawei and Infosys join hands for smart stadium solutions

India’s leading software service provider Infosys and Chinese ICT solution provider Huawei will now work collectively to launch a smart stadium solution

As per the official statement release by infosys, along with the smart services, high-speed Wi-Fi access will also be provided in stadiums and exhibition centres.

However, both the companies haven’t yet disclosed any financial details.

In this joint effort, Huawei will provide WLAN network infrastructure, while Infosys will provide a multi-tenant, cloud-based platform with managed operations and services. Besides this, it will also provide assistance to the stadium operators in provisioning innovative services and gaining more revenue.

Sudip Singh, Infosys SVP and global head Engineering Services, said, " This joint global solution will deliver a truly engaging end-user experience while unlocking significant business opportunities to entertainment center owners and event sponsors."

Up until now, Chinese firm Huawei has already deployed Wi-Fi networks in more than 20 stadiums across the globe, which includes home stadiums of Borussia Dortmund (BVB) in Germany, AFC Ajax in the Netherlands, St Louis Rams of NFL in the US, and Gold Coast Suns in Australia, as well as national stadiums in China, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

According to Ma Da, Huawei general manager Agile Network Solution, "The critical point of the Smart Stadium Solution is to link all people, games, terminals, and displays in the stadium through a fully connected wireless network,"
