IIM-C launches strategic management course for experienced managers

  • Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta is launching its Advanced Programme in Strategic Management (ASPM) in September 2019.
  • The six-month programme is focussed to nourish professionals with strategic thinking and implementing.
  • The programme is dedicated to train company managers, already handling strategic business or transitioning to managerial roles.
India’s prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta is launching its Advanced Programme in Strategic Management (ASPM) in September this year.

“We aim to deliver some key learnings through this course such as understanding strategic landscapes of industries, including the interface with law and regulation, and institutional variation across nations,” said Professor Mritiunjoy Mohanty, programme director of advanced programme in strategic management at IIM Calcutta.

The six-month programme is focussed on nourishing professionals with strategic thinking and implementation. This will help students understand organisations and markets in a better and an effective way.

The programme is dedicated to train company managers, already handling strategic business or transitioning to managerial roles. The course will include online as well as classroom sessions.

To register, the applicants should have a minimum of seven years of industry experience.

“The direction and growth trajectory of an organization remains embedded in its long term vision which is created as a result of strategic thinking,” Biswatosh Saha, programme director, Advanced Programme in Strategic Management, IIM Calcutta said.
