Delhi borders to remain sealed for next one week, CM Arvind Kejriwal invites suggestions

On June 1, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that the Delhi border will be sealed for next one week. Until then, only essential services will be allowed, ANI reports.

Kejriwal said that the state government will revisit the decision to open the borders again after considering all the suggestions from the residents. He has asked for suggestions from the citizens via WhatsApp or email services. The residents can write at delhicm.suggestions@gmail.com or WhatsApp on 8800007722.

“With borders opening up but corona cases rising, can Delhi open its hospitals for treatment of ppl from across the country? Will it put pressure on capacity to handle Corona? Should Delhi’s hospitals be reserved for Delhi residents?- We seek your suggestions,” Kejriwal tweeted.

Meanwhile, he said that the shops in the state can go completely operational now since the central government has not laid any such guidelines or restrictions. Earlier, the shops in Delhi were operating on an odd-even basis.

The state government has also lifted all the restrictions on the number of passengers travelling via public transport including aut, e-rickshaws and other vehicles.
