- The Telangana government has allowed private labs to test for Covid-19.

The major announcements after the meeting include the nod for private labs and hospitals to test for Covid-19 and the fixing of prices for testing and treatment.
Covid-19 testing and treatment cost
Apart from this, the government has said that antiviral injections can be charged separately as they cost as high as ₹50,000.
Who can get tested?
As per the guidelines issued by the government, asymptomatic persons cannot get tested for Covid-19. Following are the people who are eligible to get tested for Covid-19:
- Persons who have cough, fever and difficulty in breathing and have a travel history of countries affected by Covid-19.
- Persons hospitalised due to Severe Acute Respiratory Illness (SARI) or Influenza like illness (ILS).
- Healthcare workers taking care of SARI patients of Covid-19 patients.
- Persons who are direct and high-risk contacts of Covid-19 confirmed patients.
- Persons living in the same house with a confirmed case.
