Youth volunteers to enforce lockdown at containment zones
Aurangabad, May 15 () The Aurangabad police hasannounced that teams of local youth will be formed to ensureproper enforcement of the COVID-19 lockdown in containmentzones of the city.

With COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra's Aurangabaddistrict crossing the 800-mark, strict enforcement of lockdownbecomes crucial in around 70 containment zones of the city.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, police commissionerChiranjeev Prasad said teams of five to 10 youth volunteerseach will be formed to help people in containment zones.

While small areas will have five volunteers, teams of10 will help in larger settlements, he said.

"These teams will supply essentials and ration tothe needy, apart from monitoring people's movements in theseareas," Prasad said. AWARU ARU
