Indian airlines carried 19.71% more passengers in December

Airlines in India registered another good month in 2015. They carried 19.71% more passengers during December compared to the same month last year. This resulted in airlines flying with over 75% seats full on every flight. IndiGo remained the largest carrier in the domestic business. The airline flew 35.9% of the total passengers in December. It was followed up by the Jet group that flew 21.2% passengers.
SpiceJet continued its number one position in terms of load factors by flying its planes with 92.1% seats full.
Vistara improved its load factors by flying its planes with 148 seats, 77.6% full - best ever since its launch. Air India also improved by carrying planes with 86.7% seats full.
