Mahindra & Mahindra, the Indian multinational automobile manufacturing corporation, has launched a new mild hybrid version of its new generation Scorpio. The model has been priced between Rs 9.74 lakh and Rs 14.01 lakh (ex-showroom Navi Mumbai). The model comes with 'Intelli-Hybrid' technology, which reduced fuel consumption by up to 7% since it helps the engine with electric power during acceleration. This automatically switches the engine off while the vehicle is stationary (start-stop) and re-uses the otherwise wasted brake energy.
"By reducing fuel consumption, Intelli-Hybrid helps Scorpio owners contribute towards a cleaner and greener tomorrow," said M&M President & Chief Executive (Automotive) Pravin Shah.
The Intelli-Hybrid technology comes with the 2.2 Litre mHAWK engine, and will be available across all the trim levels.
The starting model with the S4 Intelli-Hybrid will be tagged at Rs 9.74 lakh, while the top end S10-4WD manual transmission version would cost you Rs 14.01 lakh (ex-showroom Navi Mumbai).
