Kondli is a state assembly seat in the East Delhi parliamentary district of Delhi. Delhi Vidhan Sabha has 70 seats in total including Kondli. The present term of the Vidhan Sabha will end on 22 February 2020 and hence all the 70 seats will go for general elections in February 2020 to select the next set of MLAs who will represent the different constituencies in the Delhi assembly that will form post elections. The total number of electors in Kondli seat 1,77,767 comprising of 98,887 males, 78,858 females and 22 third gender voters. Kondli is a reserved seat meant for contesting by SC candidates. The assembly seat has been existing since 2008. So far the constituency has seen three elections for the Delhi assembly.

The last assembly elections in this seat were held in 2015. The winner of this election was Manoj Kumar of AAP. Manoj Kumar got 63185 votes against the BJP candidate Hukam Singh who scored 38426 votes. The vote difference between them was 24759.

In 2013 elections, it was once again Manoj Kumar of AAP who won over the BJP candidate Dushyant Kumar Gautam who got 29373 votes. The vote difference between the two during this election was 7490. In 2008 elections, the winner was Amrish Singh Gautam of INC who got 36580 votes and won over the BJP candidate Dushyant Kumar Gautam who scored 21594 votes. In the three elections conducted for the Delhi assembly from this seat, INC won once and AAP won twice. The BJP is yet to open its innings in the Kondli seat.
