These YouTube tips and tricks will make your experience better

Watching videos online has become a fad. Whether you are at home or on the go, or watching videos on YouTube is the best time pass and you also get watch your favourite shows, vlogs, music videos, web-series, etc, anywhere and anytime.

However, a lot of data gets consumed while downloading or buffering videos on YouTube and can lead to slow speed, once your data pack is over.

Sometimes, you are also unable to get the right track you want to see.

Here are some tips and tricks by which you will be able to better your video watching experience on YouTube

Save Videos to Watch Later: You don't need to look over your shoulder anymore if you are watching YouTube videos during work hours. Add a video to Watch Later by tapping the clock icon on video thumbnails, or through the "Add to" icon under the video on the watch page.

YouTube's offline feature allows Android and iOS users to save YouTube videos to their device for later consumption. These videos can be downloaded via mobile data or Wi-Fi network. It is worth noting that not every video is available for offline viewing. Much of India's popular YouTube content can be downloaded, but you might come across some videos that are not available to download.



Smart Offline on YouTube lets you takes advantage of cheaper data rates as offered by your mobile operator, without requiring you to stay up late at night. when you tap on the familiar grey download arrow to take a video offline, a prompt will appear, giving you the option to select “Save overnight” using your mobile operator’s discounted night data plan. When you select it, the YouTube app will smartly schedule your video to be offlined after peak hours that night. When you wake up the next morning, your videos will be ready for you to watch offline and on the go, with no buffering. It’s currently available for Airtel & Telenor subscribers.

Share a video from a certain time stamp. Deep-linking to a specific part of a YouTube video is really easy. There are two ways you can share a video from a certain time stamp. You can pause the video, right click and select "Get the video URL at the current time". Or you can add the timestamp to the end of the URL -- for example, to start at 1.30min, add &t=1m30s.



Listen to full albums on YouTube: by searching for #artistname, you will get their topic pages. Check out this example for Lady Gaga.



Control YouTube on TV with your phone: you can connect over Wi-Fi or manually pair your TV with your second device.



Keyboard shortcuts. While watching a YouTube video, you can press:
● K to pause or play
● J to rewind 10 seconds
● L to fast-forward 10 seconds
● M to mute

Keywords searching to help you find just what you are looking for:
● Add quotation marks to search for a specific term; plus or minus signs to include or omit results;
● Add allintitle in the search box before the keywords, in order to make sure that the results will include all the keywords you searched for in the title;
● Add HD to your search query to get high-definition results; you can also add 3D for three-dimensional content;
● Add channel or playlist to your search query.

Change the size and resolution of videos: YouTube is offered in several quality and size formats. You can choose to watch videos in 360p all the way up to 4K, by selecting in the video quality pulldown menu.
