Let's say you're driving along one day, going the speed limit, everything's chill, and then someone pulls out in front of you abruptly.

You hit them.

It's not your fault, but they claim otherwise. Oh, and let's say you only have liability insurance.

Without a dash cam, you'd likely be stuck paying for those damages by yourself.

With a dash cam, the whole incident would be recorded and that information could be passed on to law enforcement who could then take matters into their own hands.

Now, a dash cam won't prevent an accident from happening, but it can surely work to make your life easier after an unfortunate event like that goes down.
