The three-day Just Eat Food Fest -being held at Red Market in Shoreditch from Friday through to Sunday - is designed to showcase some of the best food that can be ordered through Just Eat's app or website.

Restaurants such as Ping Pong, Gaylord, Red Dog Saloon, and Panda Berry will all be selling their food, as will Dum Dum Donutterie and Gyms Kitchen. The idea is that you try a little bit of quite a few things, so don't expect huge portions.

In addition to the food, there will also be bars selling craft beer, cocktails, wine, and other drinks. DJ's like Danny Lawson, DJ Fergus, and DJ Si have been brought in to provide some background music for the hungry festival-goers that want a bit of a rave, while Goliath's Band and Ebony Steel Drums are also on the lineup.

Just Eat's food festival comes as large technology companies look to move in on the company's territory. US taxi firm Uber launched its UberEATS business in London last month, while Amazon is also reported to be considering a London launch of its food delivery service.

Just Eat has traditionally carried out deliveries for takeaways selling everything from kebabs to pizzas. But the company wants to try and cater to all tastes, so it has recently signed up a number of higher-quality restaurant partners, including those that are at the festival this weekend.

Just Eat CEO David Buttress launched the Just Eat Food Fest on Thursday evening, saying Just Eat wants to be known for the diversity of food it has on offer.

A VIP launch party, attended by Business Insider, took place on Thursday evening - with popstar Nicole Scherzinger, model Jodie Kidd, and actor Alexander Vlahos all in attendance.
