Right now, people signing up for Tinder can only designate themselves as "male" or "female" and list which of those options they're interesting in connecting with.

But soon, Tinder will launch more identification options as well as new ways for users to list what they're looking for.

Rad says that the company has been working with GLADD to design the experience.

So far, Tinder hasn't given transgender people a great experience, Rad says.

"We want every single person on Tinder to get a quality match," he said. "We want to let people be who they are."
