British police investigating London Bridge incident after reports of van hitting pedestrians

British police are investigating an incident that occurred on the London Bridge Saturday evening, after witnesses reported that a vehicle mounted the pavement and mowed down pedestrians.

BBC News reported that police currently investigating the scene are armed.

Sky News reported that a white van drove off the road on London bridge and hit five or six people. London Transport Police said that the London Bridge station is closed off.

Police have not yet provided details. A Reuters reporter near the scene said she saw 10 police cars rushing towards London Bridge.
