The electric two-wheeler market in India has reported a year-on-year growth of 24% in February 2024, building up on the good start to the year with a 26% growth reported in January 2024. The electric two-wheeler industry recorded sales of 81,963 vehicles in February 2024, up from 66,053 vehicles sold in February 2023, marking a 24% year-on-year growth.

The Indian auto companies continued to perform well in February 2024, starting the year on a positive note. February 2024 has emerged as the month with the highest-ever sales volume in February so far. The sale of passenger vehicles increased to 3,73,177 units in February 2024, up from 3,35,324 units in February 2023, recording a year-on-year growth of 11.3%.

Mahindra & Mahindra on Friday said its total sales increased 24 per cent to 72,923 units in February. The company's total dispatches to its dealers stood at 58,801 units in February 2023. The Mumbai-based auto major's passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market rose 40 per cent to 42,401 units last month against 30,358 in February last year, the auto major said in a statement.

Tata Motors on Friday reported an 8 per cent rise in its total wholesales to 86,406 units in February as compared with 79,705 units in the same month last year. The total domestic sales stood at 84,834 units last month against 78,006 units last month, a growth of 9 per cent, Tata Motors said in a regulatory filing.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Friday reported its best-ever monthly wholesales at 25,220 units in February. The company's total dispatches to dealers increased by 61 per cent last month to 25,220 units as compared with 15,685 units in February 2023. While domestic sales stood at 23,300 units, exports were at 1,920 units in the month, the automaker said in a statement.
