Maruti Suzuki today announced the launch of the Ignis 2020, a facelifted hatchback that was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 earlier this month. The company has announced seven petrol variants of the car, starting from ₹4.9 lakh going all the way up to ₹7.2 lakh.

The company’s new launch competes with one of its own cars, the popular Maruti Suzuki Swift. The Swift is available in seven petrol variants and six diesel variants.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis 2020 vs Maruti Suzuki Swift: Design
In terms of design, the Ignis 2020 does not come with major changes over its predecessor. It features a novel grille and revamped front and rear bumpers with silver accents. While the Ignis is small, it is taller than the Swift and provides adequate headroom for taller passengers.
On the other hand, the Swift has a muscular design with an aggressive grille. Thanks to its increased width and wheelbase, the car has ample space, especially at the back. The car comes with a floating roof design and blacked out pillars.
