The auto companies are set to declare their monthly sales figures as we near the end of February. The auto sales for the months is likely to be a mixed bag of ups and downs as the two-wheeler sales remain under pressure and tractors continue to outperform, said an analyst report.

According to the Nirmal Bang report, the retail enquiries continued to remain healthy for passenger vehicles, and order backlog continued to be strong amid supply constraints. The report indicated that despite a sharp month-on-month uptick in discounts, the demand for two-wheelers continued to remain subdued, especially in the entry-level segment.

The tractors segment is expected to see a healthy growth in sales led by strong demand due to good Rabi sowing amid an increase in farm mechanisation.
