Cottonseed oil cake futures rise 2.05 pc on strong demand

New Delhi, Mar 11 () Cottonseed oil cake prices on Wednesday traded up by Rs 37 to Rs 1,840 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions driven by firm spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for delivery in March traded higher by Rs 37, or 2.05 per cent, to Rs 1,840 per quintal with an open interest of 31,210 lots.

Likewise for delivery in April, cottonseed oil cake gained Rs 38, or 2.1 per cent, to Rs 1,851 per quintal with an open interest of 59,090 lots.

Marketmen said raising of positions by participants amid a rising demand from cattle-feed makers mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices here. VHP RUJRUJ
