Flipkart’s Big Billion Days kicks off with 10 lakh products sold under 10 hrs already!

As we write this article, many items in the fashion category must have been fished away as Flipkart kicked off its Big Billion Day today with discounts and deals on the fashion category.
So far,Flipkart claimed that it sold over 10 lakh products in 10 hours, making it 25 items sold per second.
As of now, men’s clothing and accessories made it to top selling categories. Interestingly, men product categories have witnessed a huge spike in demand as compared to other fashion categories.
Mukesh Bansal, Head of Commerce Platform, Flipkart said, “We have sold 1 million units already and expect to do a higher number by the end of today’s fashion sale. We are extremely thrilled to see customers from across geographies shop with us. It is great to see 1.6 million app installs in the last two days – which is a great indicator.”
Flipkart is leaving no stone unturned this year as its Big Billion Day sale last year turned out to be a disaster.
