As the Delhi Assembly Election approaches, its CM Arvind Kejriwal is back to what he does best - point fingers. Today he said that the municipal municipal corporation under the BJP regime is involved in a massive scam.

“South municipality has ₹1,177 crore “outstanding arrears of property tax”. However, nobody recovered it yet and we all know why,” Kejriwal said.

This was not the first time he brought up the issue though. In August 2019, the Aam Aadmi Party blamed the department’s top leaders of filling their own pockets instead of recovering the money.

It is not just the South municipality where he noticed irregularities. According to Kejriwal, the North municipality’s chief Vinita Mishra, found ₹3,299 crore of financial irregularities which includes illegal hoardings and towers.
