  • Everlane's Japanese GoWeave Slip Jumpsuit is one of the most versatile items you can have in your summer wardrobe.
  • It's airy and effortless, with a just-right neckline, bra-friendly straps, and a hidden zipper that make it great for work and weekends.
  • We recommend ordering one full size down — both of our reviewers found their standard sizes too large, though the style and material were great.

Everlane's Japanese GoWeave Slip Jumpsuit ($100) answers a tall order: a complete, polished outfit in one go.

Made from the brand's signature wrinkle-resistant Japanese GoWeave fabric, the Slip Jumpsuit is breathable enough for all-day wear and easy to layer with a light sweater on chilly summer evenings. The material is weighty enough that it drapes nicely through the wide legs yet still feels light and airy against the skin.

Built with patio drinks, weekend errands, and workdays in mind — the jumpsuit is also as versatile as you'd want a multi-season piece to be — though perhaps not as versatile as Everlane's Essential Jumpsuit if you need or prefer wider straps.

The Slip Jumpsuit has an easy elegance: It's loose and effortless, but finished with details like a not-too-high-not-too-low neckline, an invisible zipper, a bust with darts for shaping, and bra-friendly straps that look more suitable to a professional setting. And, given the material's wrinkle-resistance and versatility, it's particularly good for travel.

Right now, you can pick it up in four colors: clay, pink sand, black, or navy — and in sizes 00 to 16.

Two women on the Insider Reviews team wore the Slip Jumpsuit over the past few weeks and found it to be breathable and effortlessly cool, but note that you'll likely want to size down.

I'm not usually big on jumpsuits since they never seem to fit my petite frame well, but I really like the idea of this one. The GoWeave material is great for daytime since you don't have to worry about the unsightly wrinkles that usually come with getting in and out of the car, or sitting at a patio table for hours on end. Thanks to a subtle V-neck, it feels dressy enough that you could transition it to evening with a pair of wedges too.

There was just one major issue: the sizing. I went with my usual size 0 since other Everlane items I own run small, but found this particular piece to be way too loose through the bodice and hips. The straps were also too long, and at five-foot-two, the cropped legs were basically full-length. It does come in a size 00 though, and I like the versatility enough that I'm planning to swap it out and give it another try. —Ashley Phillips, style & beauty editor

Like Ashley, I'm wary of jumpsuits. When done well, they're my favorite thing in the world: a complete outfit with minimal effort. But, I usually find the proportions are off: the bust too tight and the waist cut too high. While that actually isn't the case for the Slip Jumpsuit, the sizing is not reliable. My standard size 4 is too big everywhere, though I suspect one size down would be perfect. Having said that, the material is wonderfully breezy, the waist is in the right place for me, and I love that the neckline, hidden zipper, and bra-friendly straps make this just as effortlessly versatile as it is comfy to wear. At five-foot-seven, I also don't mind the single inseam length.

I like the Slip Jumpsuit enough where I'll be trying it in a size 2 and will update this review once I have. There's a chance the bust may be too tight (for reference, I wear a 32DD), but given the excess in the waist and bust, my guess is that it'll be just right. —Mara Leighton, senior reporter
