- 'Pokémon Go' will no longer work on older iPhones and iPads, says the game's developer.
- The change is due to iOS 11, the newest version of Apple's iOS operating system.
- You've got until February 28 if you're using an older iPhone or iPad.
Sorry, iPhone 5 owners who also love Pokémon: The popular mobile game "Pokémon Go" is going to stop working on your phone as of February 28.
The game's developer, Niantic Labs, said the change is a measure of compatibility with Apple's newest mobile operating system, iOS 11. "This change is a result of improvements to Pokémon GO that push the application beyond the capabilities of the operating systems on such devices," Niantic said in a statement.
Wondering if your device is included in the purge? It might be! Here's a list of all the Apple devices that are capable of receiving iOS 11 - if your phone or tablet isn't listed, it's going to lose "Pokémon Go" on February 28:
