Realme 6 Pro vs Poco X2: Battle for the best budget smartphone of 2020

Chinese smartphone maker Realme today launched the Realme 6, Realme 6 Pro and the Realme Band in India.

The Realme 6 Pro is the successor of the Realme 5 Pro and will compete with the likes of the Poco X2 and the company’s own Realme X2.

The Realme 6 Pro comes in Lightning Blue and Lightning Orange colour options. The device will be available via Flipkart from March 13.

On the other hand, the Poco X2 is available in Atlantis Blue, Matrix Purple and Phoenix Red colour options from Flipkart. The device is being sold in a flash sale on March 10.

Realme 6 Pro vs Poco X2: Display

One of the main highlights of the Realme 6 Pro is its high refresh display. The device sports a 6.6-inch 20:9 aspect ratio display with 90Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling.

On the other hand, the Poco X2 offers an even higher refresh rate. It sports a 6.67-inch 20:9 aspect ratio display with 120Hz refresh rate. High refresh rate allows for the animations to be much smoother and the screen is able to refresh the content more dynamically.

The Poco X2 with its 120Hz display is ahead of the Realme X2. Apart from this, both the device’s have a similar display.

Realme 6 Pro vs Poco X2: Design

The Realme 6 Pro features a gradient glass back with a lightning pattern. The glass back features Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. There is Realme branding at the bottom and the quad camera setup is placed in a rectangular module.

On the front, the device features minimal bezels. The company has used a punch-hole design to house the dual selfie cameras.

Coming to the Poco X2, the device features 3D curved frosted glass body. It has a similar gradient design as the Redmi K30 series. The device has Poco branding at the bottom and a circular design around the vertically aligned camera module.

On the front, the device is similar to the Realme 6 Pro. It has minimal bezels and a punch-hole houses the dual selfie cameras.

Verdict

It’s a close fight between the Realme 6 Pro and the Poco X2. At the end of the day, the Poco X2 with its 120Hz display, slightly bigger battery and better pricing emerges as the winner.
