Good morning! Here's everything you need to know in the world of advertising today.

1. Twitter's outgoing CEO has slammed Wall Street for encouraging short-term thinking. Dick Costolo still thinks the company has managed to stick to a "cohesive long term strategy" regardless.

2. Former Yahoo CEO Ross Levinsohn wanted to strike the Microsoft display advertising deal that AOL pulled off on Monday. Levinsohn said such a deal three years ago "would have had a significant impact in the market."

3. The Microsoft/AOL deal is one of three new attacks Google has recently suffered to its already troubled core business. The little cuts threatening Google search are adding up.

4. The "knuckleheads" at Twitter are now open to selling the company, according to Fox Business reporter Charlie Gasparino. Twitter's stock was up 6% yesterday.

5. Facebook has upped the ante against YouTube's video ads. Facebook has introduced video ads that marketers only pay for when a user has watched them for 10 seconds or more.

6. A Stanford grad built a more advanced Instagram. It racked up 250,000 downloads in its first 48 hours.
