Tinder is launching a new app that's not for hookups - it's for power networking

The app is partnering with Forbes to launch a professional networking app, TechCrunch reports.
The standalone app is exclusively for the roughly 2000 individuals who are alumni of the annual Forbes' 30 Under 30 list.
Like the original Tinder app, users will be able to swipe through the profiles of other 30 Under 30 members.
Users will be shown profiles of members of both sexes. If both people swipe right, they'll be matched, and can message each other.
In addition to the swiping feature native to the original Tinder app, the new networking-minded app will have a directory of its prestigious 30 Under 30 members and a feed to "post social media stories or polls," according to TechCrunch.
Tinder is trying to get into the "business networking space," according to Forbes' Head Of Mobile Products Salah Zalatimo. But Tinder co-founder Sean Rad tells TechCrunch that this is more of a "nice experiment," and that professional networking isn't "core to our strategy right now."
The new app is expected to launch in October at Forbes' 30 Under 30 Summit, TechCrunch reports.
IAC/InterActive, Barry Diller's media conglomerate, recently announced plans to take its Match unit public, which includes Tinder along with other online dating properties like Match.com.
The app hasn't stopped growing, either: in June 2014, Tinder made 10 million matches every day. Now, that number is up to 26 million.
