In less than three hours, the final game of the World Series between the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians is taking place - and some people are paying over $20,000 a pop to be there in person.
This isn't just any Game 7.
The Cubs haven't won the World Series since 1908. The Indians last won the MLB championship in 1948. If the Indians win, Cleveland will have two sports titles in the same year (The Cavs won the NBA title this year).
So whoever wins, it'll be a historic moment.
And according to ESPN's Darren Rovell, someone paid ~$20,000 for a seat to the game.
Someone just bought two seats right by the Cubs dugout for Game 7 on StubHub. Paid $19,900 each -- and that does not include fees.

In fact, a quick look at StubHub shows ticket prices ranging from as low as $840 to over $25,000. Here's the view you get for a ticket that costs $25,150.
This year's Game 7 is shaping up to be the most expensive ball game in history. Ticket search engine Ticket IQ tells the Wall Street Journal that the average asking price for a single ticket is $4,700, the highest ever. The average sale price is $2,919, more than double the price of the previous record, which was $1,201.18 for Game 1 of the 2010 World Series.
