Another trend that afflicted classrooms this year graced Google's top ten searchable phrases: "How to make a fidget spinner" was ranked as the seventh-most Googled "how to" phrase.
Other results reflect 2017's most significant events: The second-most Googled "how to" phrase of 2017 was "how to make solar eclipse glasses," and the third was "how to buy Bitcoin." At number five was "how to watch Mayweather vs McGregor," one of the most anticipated fights of the year, which nearly 3 million people viewed illegally.
