- A hoax and a Google shuttle bus took over the Internet yesterday. Demonstrations in San Francisco blamed Google's wealthy employees for causing rent prices to skyrocket. A planted union worker pretended to be a Google employee, hopped off the bus, and scolded the mob: "You can't afford it? You can leave!"

- Facebook has hired NYU professor Yann LeCun to run its new artificial intelligence lab part-time. He teaches computers how to think like humans and teach themselves new information.
