1. To turn on the display, you just need to raise your wrist. You turn off the display by lowering your wrist.
2. You customize the information that appears on your watch face, and you can tap on any one of these "complications" to visit the corresponding app.
3. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to see "Glances," which are bite-size snippets of the apps you visit most often.
4. You can swipe down from the top of the screen to see and act on your missed notifications.

6. You can rotate the digital crown to navigate precisely without obstructing your view. You use the digital crown to set timers, customize your digital watch face, and much more.
7. The digital crown can scroll as slowly or as quickly as you want.
8. You can also turn the digital crown to easily magnify content, since pinch to zoom would cover up most of the display.
9. You can also press and hold the digital crown to activate Siri.

11. Since the display is pressure sensitive, you can press it to access additional controls.
12. You use this Force Touch in Maps to search for a location.

14. And using Force Touch in the workout app will end your session.

16. From this "contacts" page, you can text or call that person, or use a new feature called "digital touch" to send a quick drawing to that person or even send your heartbeat to the other person's Apple Watch.
17. When you get an incoming message, your Watch will ping your wrist. Just raise your wrist to see the incoming message, and lower your wrist again to dismiss it.
18. If you tap reply, you can use the digital crown to scroll through "smart replies" that are tailored to that person's message. You can add your own "smart replies" in the iPhone's Apple Watch app.
19. You can also reply to messages via dictation, and you'll have the option to send your reply as a voice or text message.

23. To create a new message, just open the Messages app, and use Force Touch.
24. It's easy to make your watch face look however you want: Press on the current watch face to bring up the Faces gallery, and swipe to find the one you want.

The three dots at the top here mean there are three different customization screens for this face. You can change anything inside the green outline — turning the digital crown lets you adjust the settings.
26. Swipe left and right to adjust various aspects of the watch face, including the numbers, the second hand, and the "complications" like weather and calendar appointments, which are all controlled with the digital crown.
You can change which "complications" you want to appear on your watch face by clicking them and using the digital crown to scroll through various options.
28. When you're all done customizing the watch face, just press the digital crown, and tap the screen.
29. Apple Watch owners can send special messages to each other. To do this, just press on the person's face you want to send it to, then start drawing. The same drawing will appear on the recipient's Apple Watch, just as it was drawn.
